I have shot a competition model, and its obvious Stoeger takes a little more time and effort smoothing out the trigger. OK for the field, but not a competition gun.

Standard Condor has plain wood, single non-selectable trigger (always shoots bottom barrel first) and extractors (just lifts the hull out enough for you to lift the hull out with your fingers), single front brass bead, IC and mod flush choke tubes.Ĭondor Supreme has a nicer wood than the standard Condor, a single selectable trigger (you can choose top or bottom barrel first), a mid-rib bead (I think), and ejectors (that is, it will spit a spent hull out when you open the action.) Not sure how many choke tubes you get with the supreme.Ĭompetition model has 30" ported barrels, adjustable comb, palm swell, a single selectable trigger, ejectors, mid-rib bead, and you get a bunch of choke tubes, 5 I think. You can spend more money on the Supreme or Competition, but it won't shoot any better.Īs some have suggested, buy it, use the heck out of it, then buy something better later on. As far as fancy wood goes, I thought the basic wood looked pretty good. I never used the barrel selector on my Weatherby, so didn't think I'd need one on the new gun. I chose the basic Condor because it fit me well and didn't need any stock adjustment. Now, if you're going to shoot lots of handicap trap, you may wish to go with the 30" barrel Competition. You can use Mossberg-style chokes to supplement the IC and M chokes that come with the gun. That's about all the differences between them. The Competition has longer (30") barrels, selective trigger, and adjustable stock. The Supreme has fancier wood than the basic Condor and has a selective trigger.

Liked the way the Stoeger Condor felt and swung, so I bought a NIB Condor combo (12/28", 20/26"). Read lots of reviews and looked at lots of guns. It has been manufactured with two different finishes – walnut stock and fore-end with blued metal, and black hardwood stock and fore-end with nickel-plated metal.I was looking for an inexpensive 20 ga. Both the 28 barrel 12a and the 26 barrel, 20a come with brass bead sights and screw in IC and M choke tubes. It has rifle style sights, with a fixed blade front sight and a notched rear sight. The Condor field combo is a 12/20gauge two barrel set which offers the ultimate in versatility.

The Condor Outback model has 20-inch barrels. It also has automatic ejectors, and a selectable trigger that allows the shooter to choose which barrel will fire first. The Condor Supreme has a grade-AA walnut stock and fore-end, and high-luster bluing on the receiver and barrels. The Stoeger Condor Supreme is a model of Stoeger Condor. It is most often used for hunting birds and for clay target games such as trap and skeet. The Condor is relatively inexpensive compared to other double barreled shotguns. In the United States, the Condor is marketed and distributed by Stoeger Industries in Accokeek, Maryland. Opening the action automatically engages the safety mechanism. It is chambered to use either 2-¾ inch or 3 inch shells. It has a vented barrel rib and a brass bead front sight. The standard model has a grade-A walnut stock and fore-end, blued receiver and barrels, a single trigger, and screw-in choke tubes. There are several models of Condor, with different features and in various gauges.
